BLS ACLS PALS CPR/AED CPR & First Aid Other First Aid Training Bloodborne Pathogens Training Skills. * All students are required by the AHA to bring a current ACLS text book to class. Once the adult check-off is complete, your instructor will also assess your ability to identify respiratory arrest and provide rescue breaths with a bag-mask device. Following this opportunity to practice, your instructor will then test your skills by asking you to perform the scenario without any assistance or intervention from the instructor. You will be presented with an "in-hospital" adult BLS scenario so you can practice these skills in sequence. Your instructor will work with you to make sure you're comfortable performing the following skills: Chest compressions, Pocket-mask ventilations, Bag-mask ventilations, and Use of the AED (defibrillator). The skills involved in your ACLS check-off will focus on your BLS interventions. Please refer to both the ACLS and BLS course completion criteria in the course details section of this website. You must complete the requirements for BOTH courses including the textbook and exam requirements. * All students are required by the AHA to bring a current ACLS and BLS textbook to class. * Students must provide proof of successful completion of the AHA required, online ACLS pre-test. Following a brief of the latest guidelines participants will break into small groups to demonstrate proficiency in managing both perfusion and arrested patients. This renewal course is designed for participants who are familiar with EKG rhythms, pharmacology, and the AHA treatment algorithms.
